In the system subsystem, we design and analyze the electric and software/firmware parts of the vehicle. We have to work closely with the Shell Eco Marathon rules for some specification requirements. Additionally, we also need to implement other safety measures ourselves. Our main goals are to create all the controllers, electrical components and features that cars needed to drive. We’ll also collect data and work with other subsystems to improve car efficiency.

Current system subsystem projects include the design and program of the BLDC Motor Controller, design wiring, electronic components, and the car dashboard. Once in-person activities resume, we will start testing the motor controller with real motor and battery. We put many skills to use including programming, soldering, PCB designing, power analysis, circuit design and so on. We use Arduino for MCU for now and KiCAD/EagleCAD for circuit/PCB design.
